Faheem Ashraf is an international cricketer from Pakistan who plays for national side as well as domestic sides. He is considered to be a good all-rounder. He usually bats in the middle order.

Domestic Career

Faheem Ashraf started his domestic career by playing for the Faisalabad team in 2013 and scored a century on his debut. He was the leading wicket taker bowler in two tournaments as he took 19 wickets in Departmental One Day Cup 2016-17 and took 8 wickets for team Punjab in Pakistan Cup 2017.

He got selected by Islamabad United franchise for PSL 2018 in Gold category. He performed exceptionally well in that edition of Pakistan Super League as he took 18 wickets and made good runs to help his team win the tournament. He was awarded as best bowler of the tournament and was also leading wicket taker.

He then played for Central Punjab in Quaid-e-Azam trophy 2019-20 and in 2021 he again got selected for Islamabad United team. Faheem also played for Galle Gladiators in Lanka Premier League third edition and for Hobart Hurricanes in BBL 12.

International Career

Faheem got selected for the first time in Pakistani squad in 2017 for the series against West Indies in which he didn’t got a chance to play. Later during the ICC Champions trophy 2017, he made his ODI debut against Sri Lanka. He then made his T20i debut for Pakistan against World XI in Independence Cup 2017.

He made his first international hat-trick against Sri Lanka during a T20 match against Sri Lanka in Abu Dhabi. Then in 2018, he got selected in Pakistan’s squad for test series against England and Ireland. He played his first test match against Ireland in that series. In the same year, he took his first 5 wicket haul against Zimbabwe in an ODI match.

In 2019, he was firstly selected in Pakistan’s squad for ICC ODI Cricket World Cup 2019 but later was dropped during the final selection. In 2021 January, he got selected in Pakistan’s squad for test series against South Africa.
